Psalm 46:1

I felt inspired for no particular reason to take a photo of some numbers again. And here we are:Psalm 46:1
My ultimate favourite verse in the entire Bible.
"God is our Refuge and Strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble"
Amen.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, How immature I am with matters of the heart. It infiltrates every aspect of my life. My body and mind try to remain grounded, but my imagination has been ignited by my heart. My thoughts run wild, my dreams so sweet that my heart flutters
Lord I have given my heart to another, someone who has no intention to committing to me. My heart longs for what he cannot fulfil. He is a wonderful man, but not my man. Thank you that despite my heart been given that it is not broken, or worse for wear. That is it is learning to be guarded, protected and loved.
Only you can I find intimacy, unconditional, unrelenting, uncomprimising love and loyalty. Lord rein in my heart and then reign in it. Keep it in your hands. Daddy, my maker, my creator. You know me. You know whats best for me. You know I want to get
I want to trust in your wisdom. I want to love you. Take my life Lord. Heart, mind and soul.

I'm a big kid now ...

Haa! When it comes to doing Tax Refunds and all that, I think it pretty much makes you an adult. Hehe. And Insurance. The other day, my Bank asked me about Life Insurance. I feel like I'm 33 when infact, I'm only 19.
Sigh.
I'm never going to stop getting old haha.

The best news of my life!

My dream, answered, today! :]
How amazing. God is good!
I was sitting at work, doing my day to day stuff, when I decided to check my hotmail, and what do you know .. an email from Capernwray sitting at the top of my inbox with the subject line saying "Acceptance Letter for Capernwray Bible School"
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! And yes, indeed friends, I am OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED!!!! I am going to Capernwray! My dream has become reality! :]
And I have never been happier. I left my office, and went into the other room and litterally jumped up and down! I was almost crying! I had the biggest smile on my face that was ever possible!!!!! :]
I am the happiest girl alive right now!!

Yayeeee.

Easter Camp

Weeee.. Oh Gosh! What a way to spend Easter! :] Seriously, it was so amazing.
Where do I even start?
Kay, so I met Davi, Britt and Holly at Church at 7pm and we drove down to the Paeroa Rangers Soccer ground where we were to meet my Uncle from Waihi, as we were going with his Youth Group. After waiting there for about 5, they turned up and away I drove with 3 very excited girls in the car, and with the music blaring up loud of course..and singing at the top of our lungs! :] Yaaayee.
We got there and got separated from the group, so we found some security guy, and he chucked us on his trailor and took us to our spot! (Well actually the wrong spot! .. We were waiting for ages for the others to show up, and were wondering why! Wrong place!) Haha, but we got to the group eventually, found our tent and made ourselves at home making beds and all the jazz in our tent. We even had this cool light/torch thing that we hung on our roof, and viola, we had light! :]
That night, we went to the first meeting, and I had no idea what to expect, but it well over-did my expectation anyway! :] The Worship was primo, and the speakers each meeting were just incredible. Mike Pilavachi is now my new favourite speaker! And guess who got a photo with him! Yeaaaahhh.
Yeah, he taught us all about Cakie and how he should'nt have opened the door to Cakie. Basically, it was his sex talk. Lol. Cracked us up. I was pretty much in tears from laughing so hard.
Oooh .. I watched "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" for the first time on the weekend too, well part of it anyway. I love it, and will hire it out in the next week or two to see the rest! CS Lewis is the man!
I was the "Davi David Davi Bands" biggest fan. The funniest thing happened! :] Hahahah. Me and Davi went into the Café where two guys were currently setting up Guitar Hero. Davi wanted to join, so after she got the A.OK, she grabbed the guitar and asked the two guys their names. One replied "David," then Davi giggled and said "Ha, my name is Davi." Then .. both the guys mouths just dropped open! The other guy was like "My name is Davi tooooo" Haha, so we had this little giggle about that.
Worst thing about camp though, was seriously the wait for the meals. On Sunday night, Davi and me came up with an extraordinary plan. We went to dinner at 4:30pm, and then ended up being at the front of the line! :] Taaaadaaa! Thought that was magnificent.
And so I pretty much managed to go the whole weekend without taking many photos at all. How can I???? Bizarreee!!
Heres the ones that I managed to take anyway. It was quite annoying that I never carried my camera around with me. I so should have, because I remember saying "Perfect Photo Moment" like 100 times, and never had my Cam on me. Good one Mel :]
Holly and Me being silly beggars in the tent:

Britt and myself enjoying the sun:

We quite often had sing-a-longs with "Beautiful Pink" outside our tent. Good times they were, good times indeed:

Home time after 5 quick as days! :]

All in all, it was a super duper weekend, and would definitely go back! :] I know this is only a tiny review, but I cant fit it into words. Far too amazing.

Piano Player Melanie

Haha .. Today at work like as soon as I walked in the door, I got bombarded with a task, and that task was to type up a voice recording of half an hour. Man, I never realised how many words people can get it within half an hour. Its amazing.

And then, my iPod busts and decides not to work. Drat, now what am I meant to listen to in the car, and at work.

Ha, so I got bored tonight and recorded good ol' Valse Noble by Franz Schubert on the Piano just for kicks :] Its like fuzzy as and sounds pretty terrible. I forgot to change the settings on my camera. Lol. But hey, here it is, the most octave piano piece I know. Sorry for it being out of time. My bad:

Eagles Wings

My song for today! I went to this service in Thames tonight with Davy, and they played this song at the end with some very powerful praying. And whoaaaa .. its hit me like its never hit me before.

Here I am waiting
Abide in me I pray
Here I am longing
For You
Hide me in Your love
Bring me to my knees
May I know Jesus
More and more
-
Come live in me
All my life
Take over
Come breathe in me
I will rise
On eagle’s wings
-
PS Guess what! I sent in my application for Capernwray today! All gone!!! Weeee...!! And paid my registration fee and all. And the handy thing was that it was all online! Just awesome really. Aaaanddd .. my pastor sent in a great word for me to get it 70% cheaper or some ridiculously cheap price! So I am praying so hard right now! :]

Sunsets

Gosh, I just love sunsets! The sunsets recently have been some of the most amazing ones I have ever seen! :] The photo above doesnt really do much justice, but it looked spectactular! :] It really shows God's creativity. One day when God chucks me my fella, I will walk down the beach holding hands with him at sunset! :] Beautiful!

Coffffeeeeee

Kay, so as you know I'm like addicted to that thing. Well not entirely, but it is good! :] I made a cappuccino tonight, and I think I did quite well don't you? Was mouth watering good!

The girls at their best :]

Well, okay this is like a month too late, but oh well. I have the time now so away we go. At youth camp last month the girls had a food fight the morning after the ax man incident. Its was a planned food fight, so all was fun! I nominated myself to be the camera lady. How convenient I thought. The food fight consisted of eggs to start with being cracked on peoples head which was the most hilarious thing to watch, jelly being thrown, mashed potato, mousse, shaving cream, the worxx!!! Anyway here's some pretty funny shots.

Piula at her best (Just adore this photo) Love you Piula! :
And I don't even know what that is on poor Holly. Ughhh! :]
And the girls after the fight. Beautiful I tell you!

Purity Rinnngggg

Weeee, the other day I went to Hamilton, with Davidda, and as we walked into Manna, I got a cute smile from a guy, who I forgot I knew, lol .. but then made my way to the purity rings!!!! Yaaayeeee, my last one which I had had for some time broke, so have got an identical one to match. Was pretty over the moon that they still had them.

Diary of a Teenage Girl

Kay, I've finished my beloved book that I've been reading lately. The one that seems like its written about my life. Amazing. Anyway .. my life as a teenage girl (not long left of being a teenager now though) is going super duper! I spent the last 5 hours just talking with Davi and really have fun deep and meaningful conversations. I love that about her, and how I can tell her absolutely anything in the world, and she gets its. Its awesome! ^-^ Talks about (gasp!) *guys* and God, and Church, and Music, and friends, and the future, and how its gonna be so weird not seeing each other all the time. I dread the first day that I have no contact with her. In the last 2 years, there hasnt been a single day go by with no contact. I dont want a day to come that we dont have contact. BIZZZAAARRREE!! Anyway, I dont really know my point for this blog, just really wanna say that I love Davidda! :]
xo

I also wanted to say that I love how God works things out for the good of those who love him. In bad and hard circumstances, trail and tribulations, he can work things out nicely. Put a smile on your dial through the tough things. I think thats quite cool. And recently, I've really noticed how pretty the stars are. We have had such clear nights here in Paeroa recently, and the stars are gorgeous as! :] God really knew what he was doing when he created the world didnt he.

PS right now, I have my Capernwray application in front of me.. and am ready to dive into at at 11:30 pm. Go me! :] But really I think I should get to bed aye.

I wonder

Sometimes I wonder why life is like it is.
I get to a point and then feel like I can go no more.
Or get to a point and feel like I can't turn around.

Sometimes I wonder why people are like they are.
Say one thing, and do another.
Or backstab others when theyre not around.

Sometimes I wonder why God doesnt intervene.
When he clearly has the power.
And can do all things, though seem impossible to us.

Sometimes I wonder why people arent Christians.
They ask questions but then turn away.
And its seems like its time for them to make up their mind.

Today at work, one of the guys bought up Christianity.. twice! I don't know whats getting into him, but he kept asking questions. When I'm on the spot, I never know what to say. But hey, at least he knows I'm a Christian, and hopefully my light is shining.

The Masquerade Movie

Kay, so I know this is a bit late, but not much I can do about it now. On Friday night (after Miemies funeral, which was so uplifting by the way) Davidda and myself drove all the way to Thames for a night on the town, because my friends, Paeroa is just so dull and boring at nights. What is a teenager meant to do? Goodness!
So after browsing around some shops, we came across some masquarade masks in the "almost $2 shop" (stupid name if you ask me! .. they just had to go and change it didnt they?) and we decided to purchase some and be crazy nutters and go to the cinemas wearing our cool masks! :]
So that we did, after going to pack and save, and saving $$$$$ on chocolate and goodies for the movie. We walked in to the movies, and received some very strange looks from 2 young guys and the guy at the counter, but funnily enough, nobody said anything.
We just had fun, and thats all that matters (and yes, we're weirdo's):
PS I tried on crocs (yanno those ugly shoes that everybody raves about) the other day. I still believe they are the most hideous shoes in the world, but golly are they comfortable. I was going to buy some of them too, just to be stupid and wear them to youth or whatever. But I decided to save my cold hard cash and be a good little girl.

PSS I am currently obssessed with reading this new book I bought off Trade Me, Diary of a teenage girl. Its practically written about me, and I like that 100%

Capernwray! :]

I, Melanie, am applying to Capernwray next week. :]
Waiting on a few references and then away we gooooo!
So Happpppyyyyyyyyyyy.

More than useless

And sometimes I think that I'm not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why, why I'm even here at all
But then you assure me
I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
